How long do dried flowers last?

Dried flowers can last for years to come if they are provided with the right care. 
Mama Bloom selects flowers and foliage for their longevity so that your creation will last for many seasons to come.
Typically dried flowers will begin to lose some of their colour after 6-12 months but i believe this fading adds to their charm.

How do i care for my dried flowers?

Accepted Answer

Keep them out of direct sunlight to minimise colour fade, just like most things they will slowly fade with continual sun exposure. We believe this adds to their charm.
 
Keep them away from moist areas in your home, too much moisture can cause mould growth.
 
Keep your creation indoors and away from any strong breezes. 
 
If they get dusty try a hairdryer on a low cool setting.
 
Some shedding is to be expected especially with grasses and seed pods. The occasional spray with hairspray will help the seeds to hold.

Where do you source your flowers?

One of our core values is community. For us this means taking a people first approach and supporting other small New Zealand businesses. 
 
We source 80% of our flowers from local growers. The rest we source through wholesalers and we also import a small amount of preserved and dyed product ourselves.

How do i hang my wreath?

We recommend hanging your wreath with a clear 3M hook.

Do you do custom pieces?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we love to create custom pieces! We create pieces for your home or business and work with commercial clients as well. From custom bouquets and wreaths to larger installations.

I like a piece from a previous collection are you able to make me another one?

Every piece we create is unique. Often we can achieve a similar look by using the same or similar materials but no two pieces will be the same. This is the beauty of working with unique naturally materials.

Where are you based and do you ship NZ wide?

Accepted Answer

Mama Bloom is based in North Canterbury and ships New Zealand wide.
 
We use quality recyclable packaging materials and send all orders via Courier Post to ensure they arrive to you in good condition. 
 
Once your item has been shipped we aim for a 1-3 day delivery timeframe within the South Island and 3-4 days for the North Island.
